EXERCISE STRESS ECHOCARDIOGRAM:Preparation: Nothing to eat or drink 3-4
hours prior to test. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes you can exercise
in. A study that combines an ultrasound study of the heart (echocardiogram) and an exercise tolerance test (treadmill). This test is used to evaluate how your heart if affected by exercise or activity. This test helps to identify areas of decreased blood flow to the heart muscle. It also helps to detect blockages in coronary arteries (arteries that supply oxygen rich blood to the heart). |
